Kinetrex recently announced the launch of its newest renewable natural gas (RNG) facility, Twin Bridges RNG. The new plant will capture landfill gas from Twin Bridges Landfill in Danville, IN. As the first of three new RNG plants in service in Indiana, the facility is projected to add approximately 1.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of RNG capacity annually. There are two other plants: one at the Liberty Landfill in Monticello and the other at the Prairie View Landfill in Wyatt. Together, these three plants are “projected to add approximately 3.9 Bcf of RNG capacity each year. When used as a transportation fuel, the RNG generated from these plants could displace approximately 28 million gallons of diesel a year, lowering greenhouse gas emissions by about 280,000 tons.”
