Project 46: Inventory of Community-Wide Greenhouse Gas Emissions and High Impact Actions Analysis Report Released
In Spring 2024, Project 46 contracted with Farallon Strategies and ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability to prepare an Inventory of Community-Wide Greenhouse Gas Emissions and High Impact Actions Analysis to determine the primary sources of GHG emissions in the region in 2022 and identify which actions would have the greatest impact for reducing GHG emissions.
The recommended actions which would have the greatest impact for reducing GHG emissions are the following:
- Increasing electric vehicle (EV) adoption;
- Conducting energy efficiency retrofits of residential and commercial buildings; and
- Diverting waste to composting and recycling instead of landfills.
