NACFE Posts First Run on Less – Messy Middle Fleet Profiles
The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) has started to release its series of the 13 Messy Middle Fleet Profiles for its Run on Less program. These fleet profile videos highlight:
- Wegmans’ operation in Rochester, N.Y., with a Peterbilt 567 day cab powered by a Cummins X15N natural gas engine;
- Pilot Travel Centers’ operation in Rialto, Calif., with a Hyundai XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell day cab;
- Saia’s operation in Stockton, Calif., featuring a BEV Tesla Semi day cab;
- 4Gen in Rialto, Calif., with a Volvo VNR day cab electric tractor;
- Nevoya in Colton, Calif., with a Freightliner eCascadia day cab electric tractor;
- UPS in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a Kenworth T680 day cab using a Cummins X15N natural gas engine;
- Albert Transport in Laredo, Texas, with a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia sleeper powered by a Detroit DD 15 diesel engine; and
- JoyRide Logistics in Phoenix, Ariz., with a Windrose sleeper electric tractor.
Each fleet profile page includes NACFE’s visit videos, driver introductions, and details on fueling or charging specifics.
“We plan to post three profiles with videos per week throughout August,” said Mike Roeth, NACFE’s executive director. “Each fleet was unique, and we encourage viewers to explore all the profiles and videos to better understand how fleets are currently utilizing these powertrain solutions.”
