The Indiana Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust Program announced yesterday that funding is available for projects focused on improving Indiana’s statewide electric vehicle (EV) charging network.
Proposals for the Indiana Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust Program’s grant funding are due September 23, 2020 at 5:00 PM EDT. Funding is available for both direct-current fast charge (DCFC) and Level 2 (L2) equipment. Proposals may include projects that focus on a single statewide EV charging network, as well as regional, local, or individual charging network installations.
The total estimated funding for this competitive grant opportunity is $6.15 million. Indiana anticipates awarding cooperative agreements subject to the availability of funds and the quality of proposals received. The Indiana Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust Fund Committee expects to select projects by October 2020 with funds awarded soon thereafter.
Grant applications must be submitted via email to VWTrust@idem.IN.gov. Submissions are considered timely upon receipt, not transmission. Visit idem.IN.gov/vwtrust for more information and details on how to submit an application.
