Thank you for your engagement with
Charging the Crossroads, INDOT’s plan to expand Indiana’s statewide electric vehicle charging network through the
National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.
Charging the Crossroads has released the annual update of the program’s EV Deployment Plan for public comment. Federal guidance requires INDOT to update the plan each year of the program. Key updates for this year include:
- Selection of 39 sites for Round 1 Awards from program’s first Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)
- Identification of target areas and planning for a second NOFO later in 2024
- Addition of the Climate & Economic Justice Screening Tool for development of program equity and inclusion metrics
The full draft plan is available for review on the program’s website. Public comments will be accepted through July 25, 2024. Share your feedback with the Charging the Crossroads team
here.
Following the public comment period, the plan will be updated and submitted for federal approval by September 1, 2024. Once approved, a final EV Deployment Plan will be posted to ChargingtheCrossroads.com.
