Across the nation, new fuel standards and policies are being discussed to support environmental and energy concerns. The final rule for the Renewable Fuel Standard was recently passed to drive biomass-based diesel production at the federal level. Still, carbon policies are steering the future of biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
“Last year, various policies supporting renewable fuels passed in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri in the form of tax incentives resulting in an additional 280 million gallons of biodiesel demand. These successes have led states like Nebraska, Indiana and Michigan to pursue biodiesel incentives while sparking conversation for a Midwest Clean Fuel Standard.”
Alongside state soybean organizations, Clean Fuels Alliance America members work with state and federal teams to advocate for policies supporting the energy needs across America while adding economic value. States are increasing their efforts by taking on more leadership roles and developing and implementing their own renewable fuel policies.
