Kerri Garvin is the Executive Director of Greater Indiana Clean Cities, a standalone nonprofit designated by the Department of Energy to serve public and private sector members in Indiana. Greater Indiana advances alternative, domestic fueled transportation including energy efficient technologies across all sectors in Indiana.
Kerri most recently served as the Program Coordinator for Electric Transportation at Indiana Michigan Power (AEP) developing materials and plans for programs on electric vehicles. The position coordinated outreach and education for both internal and external customers.
During her time with the City of Fort Wayne, she served as a Program Manager for energy and sustainability and the Executive Director for the Northeast Indiana Sustainable Business Council (NISBC). Trained by the Envision sustainable infrastructure rating system, Kerri integrated the concepts into City Utility projects to help meet their sustainability and energy efficiency goals. As the Executive Director for the NISBC, she provided training, certification, and assistance to area businesses using their Bright Green Business program.
While serving in the Public Information Office of Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry’s administration she successfully led the City’s efforts to be recognized for the third time as a National Civic League “All-America City”. In addition, she spearheaded the creation of the Mayor’s Youth Engagement Council, an all-teen volunteer council dedicated to service-learning, leadership and engagement in Fort Wayne. Garvin also served a mayoral appointment to the City of Fort Wayne’s Sister Cities International program, facilitating economic development opportunities and cultural exchanges between Fort Wayne, Indiana and nation cities worldwide.
Kerri holds a Master’s in Public Affairs with a concentration on Public Management and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University Fort Wayne.
Kaylee May | Events & Communications Coordinator

Kaylee most recently served as the Marketing and Operations Director at Terra Science and Education, an educational nonprofit in Central New York.
In her role with Terra, Kaylee organized and marketed events while also operating as the office administrator. The programs Kaylee oversaw include the GENIUS Olympiad International Environmental High School Project Competition, Terra Fairs, College Readiness, Scholarship and Capacity Building Grant Programs.
Kaylee launched two internationally affiliated Regional Science and Engineering Fairs, establishing Terra as a leading resource for educators and students in New York State. She also expanded Terra’s Scholarship program to provide incentives for students to succeed from elementary school through college, providing over $35,000 in scholarships annually.
Kaylee served on the board of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Central New York Chapter, organizing professional development programs for communication professionals. She was the Programs Chair for three years before serving two years as Secretary.
While working with Terra and PRSA, Kaylee has organized over 50 events. Kaylee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the State University of New York at Oswego.
Sean Chung | Intern – Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program
Sean Chung is joining the Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition as a Clean Cities Intern for the summer of 2020. Sean is a graduate student studying Energy Policy and will receive his Master of Public Affairs (MPA) and Master of Science in Environmental Science (MSES) degrees from Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in December, 2020.
Currently, Sean is a Research Assistant at the O’Neill school studying the transparency of university president search processes. He was also a Clean Cities Intern for Louisiana Clean Fuels in Baton Rouge, LA, working on projects related to electric vehicle infrastructure and idling reduction.
Abhishek Jagdale | Intern – Indiana University Sustainability Development Program
Abhishek Jagdale is joining the Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition as an intern for the summer of 2020. Abhishek is a second-year graduate student studying sustainability and energy and will receive his Master of Science in Environmental Science (MSES) and Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degrees from Indiana University’s Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in December 2020.
Abhishek has previously worked as an Indiana University Sustainability Development Intern with the City of Michigan City, Indiana carrying out their Greenhouse Gas Inventory. Abhishek has a master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from University of Mumbai, India.
