This weekend, visit the Greater Indiana team and experience electric vehicles (EVs) at the Carmel EV Ride and Drive event! The City of Carmel, in partnership with the Greater Indiana Clean Cities, Hoosier Electric Vehicle Association, Carmel Green Initiative, AAA‘s My Pit Crew, and Knozone, is hosting its 4th Annual EV Ride and Drive as part of National Drive Electric Week. It will take place on September 30, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Indiana Design Center. Attendees can test drive and explore various electric vehicles, including cars, e-bikes, and electric motorcycles. Local dealers, bike shops, and EV owners will be present to answer questions about EV ownership, costs, and charging. The event will also provide information on EV charging, its environmental benefits, solar charging, driving enjoyment, and cost savings.
Residents, local businesses, and automotive dealerships are joining the event by showcasing popular EV models. Our friends at McGavic Outdoor Power will be bringing a GEM, which is an LSEV (Low-Speed Electric Vehicle). Electric bikes will be available for test rides through Future-Velo, Gray Goat Bicycle Company, and Pedego Electric Bikes Carmel. A wide variety of EVs will be on display through the following dealerships: Dreyer & Reinbold MINI, Tom Wood Subaru, Tom Wood Powersports Indy, Tom Wood Jaguar Land Rover Volvo, Mercedes-Benz of Indianapolis, Tom Wood Lexus, Tom Wood Ford, Tom Wood Outdoor Equipment Martinsville, Audi Indianapolis, and Napleton Kia of Carmel. “Attendees will be able to test drive and view various electric-powered vehicles, from cars to e-bikes and even an electric motorcycle or two. In addition to quite a few local automobile dealers and bike shops, local EV owners showing their vehicles and will be available for attendees to ask questions about ownership, costs, and charging. Additionally, there will be other organizations with information related to electric vehicles and air quality.”
