Indiana Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan Webinar
Through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program created by passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), Indiana will receive nearly $100 million in federal funding for EV charging infrastructure over the next five years. While formula funds are essentially guaranteed for each state, BIL guidance requires each funding applicant to submit an EV Infrastructure Deployment Plan which details how use of NEVI formula funds is consistent with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) guidance on developing charging networks along designated alternative fuel corridors (AFCs) and provide infrastructure for underserved communities.
Please note: the state NEVI plan is in development and will be completed on August 1. INDOT will post the plan on the program web page on August 1 for public comment.
INDOT Northern Indiana Stakeholder Meeting – Indiana Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan
There will be three in-person sessions to allow stakeholders across the state to provide feedback on the elements of the state plan. During the in-person stakeholder meetings, the program team will summarize the NEVI program requirements and walk stakeholders through the elements of the plan with opportunities for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback. INDOT and their support team will specifically discuss the overall outline for the plan and approach to its development before discussing the plan vision and goals. INDOT will also present the state’s alternative fuel corridors (AFCs) and assessment current and planned EV charging infrastructure along these corridors with respect to the specific NEVI requirements before proceeding into an open Q&A.
Please note: the state NEVI plan is in development and will be completed on August 1. INDOT will not be discussing specific information regarding procurement and implementation processes or timeframes.
