The Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition presented Kinetrex Energy with its 2019 “Driver of Change” award for its innovative mobile LNG fueling system. Kinetrex Energy is the leading supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Midwest. The mobile LNG fueling system is designed to easily transport and fuel fleets with environmentally-friendly LNG.
Each year, Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition recognizes fleets with the Clean Fleet Awards. Clean Fleets of Indiana is a voluntary recognition program of Greater Indiana. The program is structured to provide flexibility for diverse fleets across the state to pursue best practices while achieving recognition for successes along the way.
“We are proud to receive this award for our innovation in fueling transportation fleets,” said Craig Moore, COO of Kinetrex Energy. “By improving environmental friendliness and reducing costs in long-haul fleets, we are making an important contribution to the energy transition.”
The mobile LNG fueling system addresses the needs of transportation fleets by enabling onsite fueling without the capital costs of a permanent station while not being reliant upon high retail fuel costs. LNG has been the safest fuel on the market for many years and LNG produces much lower carbon emissions when compared to diesel. If spilled, LNG simply evaporates and has no residual impact to the environment.
Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Kinetrex manufactures, stores, and delivers LNG. LNG is easily and conveniently transported as it is a dense liquid equaling 1/600th of its volume as a gas. LNG is a high-quality alternative fuel that Kinetrex can transport efficiently to long-haul fleets throughout North America.
