THURSDAY, APRIL 28, 2016 (BRAZIL, IN) – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Crown Clean Fuels, LLC, in conjunction with The Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition, announces the Grand Opening of Crown’s publicly accessible Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station located off I-70 at 1066 N SR 42, in Brazil, Indiana.
The station is 0.1 mile south of I-70 and 0.1 mile west of the intersection of IN 42 and IN 59. Crown Clean Fuels is the anchor tenant of this newly developed Business Park.
Kris Kyler, Crown Clean Fuels Spokesperson stated “We are very excited about the opportunity this station and its location provides us as the first in a planned network of CNG stations”.
The station currently boasts two fast fill lanes. However, the overall station design will include four additional fast-fill fueling lanes, allowing for expansion as their customer base grows. These lanes are all designed to provide operators with exceptional maneuverability of 67’ WB class 8 trucks, with concrete pavement approaches to and from the fueling lanes. Furthermore, the station layout is designed to accommodate fleets desiring to swap trailers following fueling on CNG.
Kellie Walsh, Executive Director of Greater Indiana Clean Cities said “This station is just one more feather in the cap of Indiana’s commitment to reducing the state’s dependence on foreign fuel. We couldn’t be more proud to be a part of helping Crown Clean Fuels be a positive steward of the states ecology”.
In addition to Crown Clean Fuels personnel and Greater Indiana team members, a number of local and state dignitaries were on hand to show their support, including Brazil Mayor, Brian Wyndham; Indiana Office of Energy Development Director, Tristan Vance; State Director for Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly, Hodge Patel; and Indiana State Representative, Randy Frye.
Frye commented “It’s the commitment of Crown Clean Fuels to take the lead in building the fueling infrastructure for the future that ensures Indiana will continue to be the crossroads of the country”.
Immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony, both members of the media and the general public were invited to take tours of the new facilities and were able to take part in demonstrations and learn more about the CNG fueling process.
In additional to offering a domestically produced clean transportation fueling option, the station features a high-efficiency LED canopy and site lighting to provide a secure and comfortable experience for the station’s customers.
