The company was started was by the Ries family, who were then joined by Norm Dahlmann and his family in the 1960s. Since buying the company with his wife, Maria, in 1998, Mike Dahlmann, the current president and CEO, has grown the business tremendously. Mike and Maria constantly invest back into the company, looking for new ways to improve and serve the customer. As a result of this family-oriented spirit throughout the company, Best Equipment was named one of the “best places to work,” by Waste & Recycling News in 2013.
Having recently celebrated their 100th anniversary in May, Best is looking ahead and opening two additional service facilities to better serve their customers. Although they have been in North Royalton, Ohio for years, Best is currently building a new state-of-the-art facility to call their home. They will also open two additional service facilities, one in Columbus, Ohio and one in Louisville, Kentucky. As it grows, Best Equipment will continue to look for new ways to integrate alternative technologies into their products and prove their unwavering commitment to the customer.
