Greater Indiana Clean Cities Receives National Awards

Presented to GICCC at the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Program Annual Meeting

During the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program December 8th week-long meeting, the Greater Indiana Clean Cities was honored with one award and a special recognition; third place, out of nearly 100 coalitions, for “Most Dues Collected”, with $85,500 in member’s dues collected for the 2013 calendar year, in addition, the coalition was honored for its dedication and willingness to go above and beyond, whether stepping up and sending their Executive Director, Kellie Walsh, to D.C., to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Quadrennial Energy Review, or to authorize her three-day trip to present at the 2013 Coordinator 101 Training, held at Argonne National Labs in October. “The coalition’s ability to host successful meetings and outstanding event planning is just a couple of the reasons the coalition has been so successful in increasing dues from existing members as well as securing new members” stated US DOE Clean Cities Program Manager, David Kirschner.
