March 9, 2015 – DOE announced the Midwest D.R.I.V.E.S. initiative project was awarded the full $500,000 grant requested to fund the project. Midwest DRIVES was one of only nine awards granted nationally and one of only five awards focused on vehicle demonstration and deployment.
Through our project partners, over 40 alternative fuel and technology vehicles will be made available to fleet operators across a three state area. From a CNG Civic natural gas, to a hybrid paratransit aftermarket system, we will have the vehicle you are interested in test driving. Approved fleet demo partners, upon completion of the emo period will receive a detailed analysis of the vehicles performance in the designated function. Duty cycle analysis and other factors will be reviewed to determine if the application is right for the job function.
Some of our project partners are listed below.
Mark your calendar to join our webinar June 4, 2015, 2pm – 3pm. At that time we will provide an overview of the project and how your fleet can become a project partner.
