The Greater Indiana Clean Cities, in partnership with Clean Fuels Ohio and three other Clean Cities Coalitions, in three states, will announce the vehicle line up for their DOE Demo Project, early in 2016.
Many vehicles will be available for demonstration. If you are a public or private sector fleet, and interested in receiving an alternative fuel or technology demonstration vehicle for a two to three-week period, this program is your chance.
One of the project partners is Optimus Technologies, out of Pittsburgh, PA manufactures EPA-approved biofuel conversion systems for medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks. Optimus’ systems provide fleets a way to reduce fuel costs, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and address renewable fuel targets – all with a low payback period.
The bolt-on system has been proven to allow fleets to run B99/B100 year round regardless of the temperature, without losing the ability to run on traditional diesel. Greater Indiana Clean Cities, in partnership with five other clean cities coalitions, is running a Midwest DRIVES Initiative, through which fleets can test an Optimus System free of charge for a 6-month period.
